Shop Rides
Riding in a group is a great way to socialise with other riders, meet new friends, and stay motivated. If you've never ridden in a group on the road before, you'll be surprised at how much easier it is too. Check below for rides that are currently running from each of our stores, and Like us on Facebook to be kept up to date with specific ride info on the day.
Wellington Shop Rides
Tuesday Road Rides
Our spring group road rides will start on Tuesday 27 September. Meet every Tuesday evening at the Wellington store at 5:45pm for a fun bunch ride that emphasises a social, rather than competitive experience. All levels of ability will be catered to - contact us at the Wellington store if you'd like to know more.
Women's group rides
Marjolein and Ashley from Revolve host a women's road ride that meets at the Wellington store every Saturday morning at 8am. This is a 2-3 hour ride that suits intermediate and advanced road riders. There is a "Back on your Bike" Saturday morning at 9am for women who are new to group road cycling or have taken a long break from it. Revolve is an exciting group that is all about encouraging women to ride bikes, with lots of exciting riding and riding related activities on offer. Paraparaumu Shop Rides
Wednesday Mountain Bike Rides
Simon from our Kapiti store co-ordinates a weekly mountain bike ride on Wednesdays, which leaves from the store at around 6pm. While most of the riding is local, occasionally rides further afield (usually Levin or Wellington) will be organized. Rides usually last for 2 - 3 hours, and given that the terrain is typically technical and/or hilly a reasonable level of fitness and experience is important, though the emphasis is on a social, rather than competitive experience. These rides continue all year round, although are of a shorter duration through the winter. If you'd like to find out more, contact Simon at the Paraparaumu store.
Thursday Road Rides
Spring group road rides will start at Paraparaumu on Thursday 29 September. Meet every Thursday evening at the Kapiti store at 6pm for a fun bunch ride that emphasises a social, rather than competitive experience. All levels of ability will be catered to - contact us at the Paraparaumu store if you'd like to know more.
